"The hour of hope for the youth of the Church", Bishop John Kaggwa praises the efforts of NET in Uganda

In 2004, NET Ministries Australia launched its ministry in Uganda by sending an initial team of 8 young people.  The 2004 Uganda NET team spent 3 months from August to November working in 4 Dioceses around the country.  Their main focus was to empower young people in Uganda who area active members fo the Catholic Church and be a powerful force for the renewal of the church and their society.

Now five years on, NET Uganda has transitioned from teams of international young people to young Ugandan´s ministering to the youth of Uganda.  There has also been major projects undertaken to support the work of NET Uganda.  These projects have included the building of a conference centre, bee-keeping, chicken farm and zero impact goat grazing.  There are still plenty of challenges to take up.  One of the major considerations now is the building of an accommodation centre to accompany the conference hall.  This accommodation centre will help to reduce the overheads for event like leadership training programs where it becomes necessary to hire out places that provide accommodation.

NET Ministries Australia now continues to partner with NET Ministries Uganda.  We encourage you to descover more about this exciting African ministry by continuing to their website through the link below.
